Hannah's First Day of Kindergarten

Today has finally come. A day I knew would be here before I know it - I am pretty sure I made it clear she wasn't allowed to grow up.  If only it was that easy to control.

Today Hannah started Kindergarten.
She woke up extra early, had a yummy breakfast, yet wasn't quite herself - a big change from the days before as we counted down to the big day.  You could clearly see she was excited, yet very nervous.  She gave me lots of hugs all morning long and telling me how much she loved me.  Boy, this wasn't going to be easy!

Mia stayed close to her side on the walk to school. She was going to really miss her big sister too.

The BIG question - did mom cry?  Of course!! Dropping her off took longer than I hoped. I actually did really well until Hannah's hugs wouldn't end and she was in tears begging me to stay.  It just broke my heart.  I know my tears didn't help, but I did all I could to encourage and remind her how fun and exciting her day would be.

The day slowly dragged on for Mia and Mommy until we could pick her up.  I am not sure who was more excited when the time finally came - Mia, Me, or maybe Hannah?

On the walk home Hannah told us about her day. She loved recess.  Loved lunch.  Loved art class.  But was too nervous to meet new friends and too sad to ready books.
As a big surprise, Daddy took the afternoon off to spend time with all his girls doing one of his favorite things - Fishing!  Overall it was an amazing day.  Hopefully, in time, she'll be less nervous and more excited about going to school.

Preschool Graduation

Today Hannah graduated from Farmstead Preschool.
To say she was excited about today would be an understatement. She was beyond thrilled for her amazingly special day.

Congratulations to the Farmstead Preschool Class of 2013!
Hugs from little sister - she is pretty happy too!
I hope Kindergarten is ready for this sweet, smart girl - but first we're going to have an awesome summer!

Birthday Celebration

On April 24, Hannah turned 5 and we were so excited to finally have her big Birthday Celebration Party on May 18.
She absolutely loves to write and draw making Blues Clues on of her favorite cartoons.  She loves to draw the clues with Steve or Joe.  So she picked our party theme.... a few of her favorite friends came to the party too!
Most importantly a lot of our amazing family and friends came to help us celebrate our amazing little girl and we never fail on the fun!
It's amazing how quickly time passes and our little girl is 5 already.  She had an amazing day with everyone and is already planning her 6th birthday party. :)

Spring Fun

The girls and I have been really enjoying the spring weather we have been having lately. Although it's a bit warmer than we like, we love that we can play outside all afternoon.  It's been a very nice change from all the snowy and rainy days we had not very long ago.

Today we got a very fun package in the mail from Smiley360 and Bic Mark-It - we received a free spring herb garden kit.  They sent us everything we needed to plant our own little garden and we had so much fun putting it together.
In our kit, we got a free set of 36 Bic Mark-it permanent markers, herb seeds (dill, cilantro, and arugula), marker sticks, cups, and stencils.
After discussing how we wanted to decorate our garden cups, the girls chose the word 'garden' and picked out the colors they wanted each letter to be.  They then helped me decorate them with flowers and 'hoolahoops' before filling the cups with dirt and planting our seeds.
Here is our finished product!  They look fantastic!  Now we just have to wait for our plants to grow. We cannot wait to add fresh herbs to our delicious meals.

Happy 5th Birthday, Hannah!

On April 24th, Hanna turned 5!  All week she waited for Wednesday because she couldn't wait for her special day.
Hannah woke up extra, extra early and found that her room had been decorated with streamers and filled with balloons (not sure why I didn't get a picture...) and could not wait to wake the rest of the family to tell us all about it.
After breakfast she got to open a few small gifts.
At preschool she got to take a special snack for all her friends (Dirt Cups) and bring in Bella to share with all of her friends (again, forgot my camera... this pregnancy brain has the best of me).
After school she picked her new favorite restaurant for lunch Red "Losber" where the staff made sure her day was super special.  They even brought her a cheddar biscuit with a birthday candle.  Kind of cute.
After lunch was her big birthday surprise - went went shopping so she could pick out her very own brand new bike!
We had lots of fun trying them all out.
And just like we thought she would, she picked out the purple bike.  It's her all time favorite color.  She enjoyed the rest of her afternoon riding around and having lots of fun.
It was such a great day!  We're so blessed to have such an amazing little girl!

Big News for the Clark Family

Hannah and Mia are very excited to share they will have a baby brother or sister in October!  We're very excited and feel so blessed.  God has answered our prayers to bring a third baby into our family.  Everyone is already so in love with this little one and are anxiously waiting for the fall.  Hannah and Mia have nicknamed the baby Cinnamon Sweet and talk about him or her often.
When we told the girls, their reaction was priceless.  They are both certain Cinnamon is a baby girl.  Hannah was thrilled God has finally answered her prayer to bring her a baby sister.  She has such amazing faith.   But we have a few weeks before we know for sure.
