It's hard to believe that the day finally came that we were able to move into our new home. It was clear back in March when we made an offer that was accepted and we put our old house on the market.
With lots of prayer and lots of time cleaning for showings (we had SO MANY), our house sold in about a month and then it was time to wait.... Which turned into two months of packing and living with boxes. Moving from that home was bittersweet. So much happened while we lived there. It was the first home Dan and I had when we got married. The home where we had our three beautiful little girls. Where we have friends that live close by for welcome, unexpected visits. So many blessings fill those walls. Our prayer for the new owners is that their lives will be filled with as much joy there as we were.
It did seem that we would run into every obstacle a home seller and buying could to run into. It was absolutely the most stressful time. And when you think you are finally in the clear, something else would come up. Thankfully we had an amazing realtor that worked very hard for us. And we're thrilled it is all over and we are in the new house!
They girls love the extra space to run and play. If you ask them their favorite part about the new house, they will answer you by telling you about the cows - don't worry, we aren't completely alone. We're only on a tiny little acreage. We do have neighbors. Everyone we have met so far is wonderful! God really answered a prayer that we would be in a community that would be a great place for a children to grow and know Him.
We are loving the peace and quite out here. There are a few things we have to get used to, but they are all welcome changes. We have a lot of unpacking and organizing to do to make this house feel more like home. We do not hesitate to take I moment to enjoy our surroundings. It doesn't matter where we look, God's beauty is all around us.
