Happy Birthday Emery!

It amazes me that a year has already passed since the day this baby girl was born. What a wonderful year it has been. Emery is such a joy - she is so funny and so happy (unless it's 2 am - but we're working on that). I look forward to the years to come and watching her grow up.
We love you Emery!

Clarks in the Country

It's hard to believe that the day finally came that we were able to move into our new home. It was clear back in March when we made an offer that was accepted and we put our old house on the market.
With lots of prayer and lots of time cleaning for showings (we had SO MANY), our house sold in about a month and then it was time to wait.... Which turned into two months of packing and living with boxes. Moving from that home was bittersweet. So much happened while we lived there. It was the first home Dan and I had when we got married. The home where we had our three beautiful little girls. Where we have friends that live close by for welcome, unexpected visits. So many blessings fill those walls. Our prayer for the new owners is that their lives will be filled with as much joy there as we were.
It did seem that we would run into every obstacle a home seller and buying could to run into. It was absolutely the most stressful time. And when you think you are finally in the clear, something else would come up. Thankfully we had an amazing realtor that worked very hard for us. And we're thrilled it is all over and we are in the new house!
They girls love the extra space to run and play. If you ask them their favorite part about the new house, they will answer you by telling you about the cows - don't worry, we aren't completely alone. We're only on a tiny little acreage.  We do have neighbors. Everyone we have met so far is wonderful! God really answered a prayer that we would be in a community that would be a great place for a children to grow and know Him.
We are loving the peace and quite out here. There are a few things we have to get used to, but they are all welcome changes. We have a lot of unpacking and organizing to do to make this house feel more like home. We do not hesitate to take I moment to enjoy our surroundings.  It doesn't matter where we look, God's beauty is all around us.

Hello there, it's been a while. I cannot believe it's been about four months since I last posted on our blog. Life as a mommy of three has kept me incredibly busy and feeling amazingly blessed. I am honestly loving every single moment.  I don't remember being this happy, yet being so tired.
Hannah is in kindergarten and kind of enjoying it.  She's pretty bored in school but loving her friends. She's such a smart and social little girl.  She has lost her 2nd top tooth since this picture of her was taken of her in December.  She has a beautiful goofy grin.  She still loves to draw and color and is always bringing home pictures of rainbows from school.
Mia is still a ball of energy and always keeping me on my toes.  It's been difficult this winter to get outside to use her extra energy.  Hopefully that will change soon.  She loving preschool and trying really hard to write her letters - but she would rather be watching cartoons.
Emery is growing so fast.  She's already 4 months old! Can you believe it?  She is just so much fun and I love being with her every moment - even when she wants to play at 3:00 am.  She loves to snuggle, which I take full advantage of every moment I can.  She's a big girl -  much bigger than her sisters were and seems to be growing out of clothes faster than I can keep up - but she is still as cute as can be.  We just love her so much.
The holidays came and went way too quickly.  We had our elf friends - Briley and Joy - again this year and were joined but a third elf, Helen.  The girls love that tradition we started and look forward to every morning to see what those silly friends did during the night.  Hopefully they will be making an appearance throughout this year. We visited family, ate lots of amazing food, and enjoyed our time together. This new year is bringing lots of changes for our family and we are pretty excited about everything that is to come.  We know 2014 will be another amazing year for the five of us.
