Time to cut Bella's nails - it's always a challenge. She really hates it. We try to make her as cozy as possible so she's sleeping - never works!

While big sister is at Awanas at church, Mia gets her daddy all to herself. She is quite the daddy's girl these days. She loves when he reads her favorite stories and gives extra snuggles.

Tuesday nights have become date nights for us. We started the marriage course at our church and tonight was our second week. We love it! We quickly realized that since having kids, we don't have enough time with just us. So it's been a lovely way to reconnect and make Tuesday our new favorite day of the week!

Project 365: October 15, 2012
Today Dan and I celebrated our 7th wedding anniversary. We didn't really do anything special today, but I woke up to a wonderful surprise hanging on the wall. Dan made this picture with all the important days in our lives. Very thoughtful and I just love it!
But this day also has a second meaning to us. Every year on October 15th it is Pregnancy and Infant Loss Remembrance Day. For the last 5 years Dan and I light candles, one for each of our babies we have yet to meet, and pray for those who have also experienced such a loss.

Today Dan surprised us girls with a delicious homemade apple pie. And he even made it sugar free so Mia could enjoy it also. He is such a great guy! :)

Mia is starting to love drawing and coloring as much as her big sister. Their newest favorite activity is keeping their "Handy Dandy Notebook" (Blues Clues Fans!) and drawing everything they can think of. Today Mia drew a cute little pig!

Project 365: October 12, 2012
Today was the first preschool field trip of the year for Hannah and Mia.
We spent the morning at the pumpkin patch. They have been looking forward to it all week long!
There is so much to do at the pumpkin patch. We started the fun with jumping in the bounce houses with all our preschool friends.
Then headed over to the BIG Jumper. That is crazy fun - plus Dan and I got to take turns jumping with the girls.
My favorite part is the hay ride! It's so relaxing to sit and do nothing for a few minutes. :)
Hannah didn't want to sit with her family this year. Instead she wanted to sit with her teachers.
Mia had no trouble snuggling with us as we rode through the fields.
After the hay ride we looked at the animals - Hannah loved the cows...
And the chickens.
And I wasn't sure if Mia like or didn't like the turkey.
But I do know Mia loved the slides!
And we couldn't pass up the opportunity for a little picture fun.
It was a super fun (yet chilly) morning! We're already looking forward to next year!

Mia is all smiles today! Daddy finished her new bed!
To help minimize the amount of playing going on when the girls were supposed to be sleeping, we moved Mia into her own bedroom (my old craft room). She is very excited to have her own place in the house (which, of course she wants to share with Bella.)

Brr! It was COLD in our house this morning. I woke up to find Dan and the girls snuggled in one chair this morning under a pile of blankets - including Bella!

Someone had a long day today and sent herself to bed before 6:00! I couldn't believe she was sleeping when we found her in her room right after bath time. Sweet baby - she needed the extra sleep.

Hannah brought home a little lady bug today from preschool. We put it in a jar with some grass and twigs. Both girls have been watching it all day - and when Daddy comes home from work, we will let it go.
