Project 365: December 31, 2012

First, I need to take a moment to say {Thank You} for sticking with me this year in my year of pictures - Project 365, which was really 366.  :)   I cannot believe it is over already!  It wasn't the easiest challenge for me to keep my camera and try to capture a picture every single day, but I did it.  And I have to say, I am so glad I did!!  We have had some amazing moments this year that I was so happy to share with everyone. Not to mention it is so much fun to look back on our blog. So good-bye to 2012.... I am really looking forward to another blessed year in 2013!

 

Tonight we spent time together as a family having a game night!  Thanks to Hasbro and House Party we had a great selection of games to play.

 They all think they are so hilarious!

Project 365: December 30, 2012

With having been sick all week, we finally felt like leaving the house today and headed to Buil-A-Bear so the girls could cash in some gift cards they got from Mama and Papa for Christmas.

The girls loved the wide variety of animals to choose from.

 Then they got to help fill them with stuffing.

 And put inside a very special heart they made a wish on.

 Mia's turn!

 Then it was bath time for their new friends.

 

 And then it was time to name them.  Hannah got a snuggly purple bunny she named Fuzzy Bunny.  And Mia got a bright pink cat she named Kitty. 

I wish I had a great picture of four of them (The girls and their stuffed animals) but they didn't want anything to do with taking more pictures. So, we'll have to introduce them another day...

Project 365: December 29, 2012

Starting on Christmas Eve, one by one, everyone in our family started getting very sick. We caught a horrible cold that lasted all week long.  As much as we had hoped she wouldn't, Hannah caught it too.  She spent most of her day sleeping and snuggling just like the rest of us.

Bella got a pair of snow boots for Christmas - she is not a fan of the snow we thought maybe this would help her out.  She looks so cute, but walks so funny while she is wearing them.  We get such a laugh.

Merry Christmas!!!

Today was a wonderful day spent at home with family - opening gifts, eating a delicious Christmas feast, and enjoying the day together. 

 Hannah enjoyed the day snuggling with Papa - her favorite person in the world.

 Mia loved and got very excited when she opening her gifts.

 

 Her face was just priceless.

 

 And the girls loved these special bears. 

 Even Shane got a big surprise when he opened his Kindle Fire.  :)

 

Project 365: December 24, 2012

Happy Christmas Eve!

 Today Mia had a lot of time to play with her new friend Marshall.  He is a super cute and cuddly little puppy that was visiting today.  Mia instantly fell in love.  But how could you not...

 

 And to celebrate this holiday some of the Webb family got together for a night of fun - just those who live in the Des Moines area. We enjoyed visiting, a while elephant gift exchange and lots of food!

It seems like it has been a while since all five of us siblings have been together.  We could not pass up the opportunity to get a picture with Grandma and Grandpa Webb. 

Side note - I have the best little brothers! :)

Project 365: December 23, 2012

We made is safely to Mama and Papa's house for the holidays!  Dan and the girls spent the morning playing outside in the snow.   

 

 

And we went to the Christmas Eve service tonight at church (yes, it was a night early this year).  We wish you all a very Merry Christmas!

Project 365: December 22, 2012

 Briley and Joy were so nice and asked Santa to bring Hannah and Mia's Christmas gifts early this year because we are going to be at Mama and Papa's house.   The girls were really hoping for something special this year.  Hannah wanted a Thinking Chair (she is a pretty big Blue's Clues fan - she loves to draw the clues)  and Mia wanted a train set. 

 

 

They go exactly what they hoped for and were very happy little girls!  After opening our gifts at home we went to Dan's family's house to celebrate Christmas with them before heading out of town. 

Project 365: December 21, 2012

 Once again, it took Hannah and Mia a little while to find their elf friends.  They were playing a game of pool in the basement.  Hannah was all grins when we finally found them.  Good thing mommy needed extra help to do some laundry ;)

Project 365: December 20, 2012

 I believe that Briley and Joy are a little bit excited about the snow storm.  They are bundled up and ready to play!

 So of course Hannah and Mia were ready to go outside and play too!  It was pretty windy so we didn't play long, but it was fun! (while mommy shoveled the drive way - yuck!)

Project 365: December 19, 2012

 It appears that Briley and Joy were very excited to go to preschool this morning and watch Hannah's Christmas program!  We looks all over the house for them this morning and could not find them anywhere.  They were waiting for us in the car with their seat belts on!

 Mia played around while we waited for the show to begin.  We made sure to get there early so we could sit right up front.

 Hannah did a perfect job singing on of her songs with her class.  We knew she would, she has been practicing a lot at home. :)

 

 After the performance we decorated cookies for a yummy treat.

 And we all made some Christmas ornaments. 

 

Tomorrow is Mia's Christmas program, but with the amount of snow we are expecting, I don't think we'll be having school.
